This is wonderful. Very much up my obsession alley. I agree. We're all writers before we're "experts" or "talking heads." I got my start when an editor from Harper Collins said, "Cicily, all you talk about is jazz. Why don't you write what you know?" So...ya know. I can only improve from here on my knowledge, craft and work. I highly admire Giddins, always have. Hearing him talk so frankly and openly about who he is and what he's done throughout his career is a real inspiration. Thanks so much Eric.
